Birthday Post, Part I

WARNING: LOTS OF PICTURES!! DON’T SAY I DIDN’T WARN YOU!!

So, I have a lot of pictures (and, I’m in NONE of them—not a single picture of me with my daughter on her 2nd birthday!!), so I’ll try to do this in a few posts. We had Abriella’s party on July 11th at a local splash pad. In the heat of the summer, you have to think of ways for these kids to cool off while playing. This was an easy way to go! We tried to reserve a pavilion, but the one next to the splash pad is first come, first serve. Well, I sent Stephen there around 9 or so (party at 10:30) to get 3 or 4 tables, and somebody had already laid claim and decorated the ENTIRE pavilion! Uggh! Come to find out, these people got there at 5:30 in the morning to do such!! Weird thing is that by the time we had packed up and left around 12:30, they still hadn’t started their party. I’m not sure when it was supposed to be! Anyway, they did let us use several tables, so all worked out fine, and hey, we had balloons and streamers decorating the place already! LOL!

Our theme was Veggie Tales because Abriella totally hearts her wedgie tales! Really, all that meant was that we had green and red cupcakes, Veggie Tales favors, and we got her some Veggie Tales presents. It’s not like this age group really gets into organized games! They had the water to play in anyway! So, it was an easy party! Funny thing is (and, we knew this) is that Abriella is not a huge fan of the splash pad unless someone is with her. She loves to talk about the splash pad, but when it comes right down to it…well, she wants someone to escort her around. Well, Daddy didn’t know this, but you can just walk around with her, but she led Daddy to believe that she must be CARRIED everywhere. And, well…since it was her birthday, he obliged! What a softie!

My Mom came in for the party, which made Abriella happy. She loves her Grandma! Plus, Grandma enjoys seeing her grandchillins! So, without further blabbing, here are some pictures from the party.

Ok, that’s the pictures for this post! Whew! If you looked at ALL of those, then, A) you have a good computer, and B) you are dedicated, and C) you are probably a grandparent to this child named Abriella! Anyway, a good time was had by all, I believe! Yeah for parties! I think Abriella was a little overwhelmed and wasn’t completely sure about all these people being there for HER party! But, Abriella still thinks we need to go to birthday parties every weekend! We practically do as it is!

Next post will be the presents!

    D) Your children were at the party and you wanted to see pictures of them.

No really, I wanted to see them all anyway! You got some great shots of all of our kiddos. I might want to get that closeup of Landry from you.

It was a fun party – glad we could be there!

I love the of Abriella eating her cupcake. That is about what Kylee looked like when we got home and she finished it off in about 2 minutes. Sorry about the cleavage shot! Thanks for having us, sorry we couldn’t stay very long.
