Home, Sweet Home!

I know it seems like forever since I’ve blogged. There is a valid reason. Me and the 2 munchkins have been gone for 11 days and 10 nights to Arkansas to see grandparents and great-grandparents. Although I’m very happy we were able to see my family and spend time with them, I am truly happy to be back home!! I was so happy to see Stephen when we pulled into the driveway, and I know he was happy to have some other bodies in the house too! I actually was crying, I was so happy to see him and to be home. How sappy is that??!! Eleven days is a long time to be on the road with children, and that is a lot of driving with 2 kids. There was a lot of speedy driving in the final stretch of the drive after we dropped my Mom off at the airport in Dallas, as both kids were crying most of the time. It was not enjoyable! I’m so thankful we made it home alive!!

Now we start trying to get back into our little routine.  Abriella was so happy to see all of her toys when we got home! It was hilarious to watch her running around talking to and about them. She was especially happy to see her daddy though! I think she had given up on ever seeing him again, and was beyond elation when she saw him again! She wasn’t so happy to go to preschool today though. Well, she was fine going, but when she realized I wasn’t staying with her today, she started crying. I knew it would be a tough day. I’m going to pick her up early and try to get her to take a nap here at home. We’re all a little behind on the sleep.

Colby was also happy to be home. Anywhere but that carseat!! But, he was looking all over the place last night too before getting to bed. It was funny. Also, Colby is 5 months old today! WHOA! I can’t believe he’s sneaking up on his 1/2 birthday! It seems like he was JUST born yesterday! WOW! I’ll try to get my monthly picture today, but doubt I’ll get the post up today. But, happy 5 months, baby boy!!

Ok, so as to not have a pictureless post, here are a few from the trip when we took pictures at my Grandma and Grandpa Miller’s house. I have many more to go through and I still had some from before the trip that I have never gotten on here. ~sigh~ So much to do with so little time!

And, this next one just cracked me up! I have no idea what she was doing. I took a picture and then promptly saved the boy! Colby will get his chance soon, big sister, so watch out!

Have a great day, everyone!!
