I forgot to post all the pictures that Melissa took of Abs for her 2 yr pictures. Make selections and let me know…maybe I can get Santa to bring you some pictures for Christmas!
In other news, Colby finally learned to roll from his back to tummy on Saturday. I say finally, but only because he’s been rolling the other way for quite a while!! I don’t remember there being such a lag between the 2 directions with Abs, but I could be mistaken. I also say finally because the boy is crawling but wasn’t rolling from back to tummy. Silly boy. Anyway, after his bath on Saturday, he rolled to his tummy…in the buff (what better way to do it right?!)! I rolled him back to his back and he did it again. Then, on Sunday, etc. So, he’s figured it out. And, he’s now getting up on his knees and rocking back and forth. Today, he actually took a little crawling step with one knee, so I figure it will be days before he’s really off!
He’s enough trouble as it is with the army crawling though. He’s such a sweet seemingly innocent little guy, but I think he’s going to be all boy! He’s into things way more than Abriella ever was. She was trouble in her own way, but he’s different. For her, you could put something out in front of her to encourage her to move to get to it…she’d cry because she couldn’t reach it. Him…he sets his eye on the target and doesn’t stop until he gets it! Unfortunately, those targets also include all outlets, telephone jacks, cords, sister’s sippy cups, food, pants, socks, hair…you name it…he’s going for it! HA! So, he’s going to be real trouble when he gets faster! YIKES!
He had croup over the weekend again. Uggh. Is he going to be the child that has croup with every cold?? My friend, Amanda, told me that her pediatrician said that croup is going around like wildfire right now though. So, I guess he’s getting it from church, ladies Bible class, or sister bringing it home from school. Who knows? They both have a cough and runny noses right now, but I think every other child in the world does right now too. It’s that time of the year!
We noticed last week, or the week before, that Abriella’s 2 yr molars are coming in. Those are the last of the baby teeth to come in. We couldn’t tell if all of them are coming in, but at least 2 of them are. She doesn’t cooperate well when you ask her to open her mouth!
She is enjoying preschool again. We finally got past the crying every time she was dropped off phase. Thank goodness! Just in time to have a week off for Thanksgiving! At least this time, she won’t have a new teacher when she goes back after the break.
We’ve also started letting her go to church on Wednesday nights with Stephen. It’s still past her bedtime, but not too much. I still stay home with Colby at this point. She is toast when she gets home though. It’s battle after battle and lots of crying to get her to bed. It’s so hard to know what to do. I guess we’ll let her enjoy Bible class and deal with the meltdown that night. Colby is done most days by 4:30, so getting him to wait until 6 to go to bed is hard enough! HA! So, we’ll be skipping with him for a while yet!
Speaking of church, on Sunday, Abriella was standing between me and Stephen on the floor in front of our pew, playing with her crayons, stickers, etc. Well, I looked down at her and realized that her pants were down at her ankles and she was trying to get them off! I quickly leaned over and yanked them back up and told her that we don’t take our pants off at church! She said (in not so much of a whisper), “But, I don’t want them on!” ~sigh~ Guess we had better keep a close eye on her!
Ok, enough for now. I have some other pictures that I’ll get to later. Enjoy the professional pics for now. We plan to get our family pictures this weekend. We’re excited about that. Melissa will have her work cut out for her! Hopefully, we’ll be able to get ONE good one of us! That’s all I ask!

Oh my gosh, Collin is all boy too! I never remember Paige getting into as much as Collin does. I fear it will only get worse. I’m not sure though if it’s because he’s a boy or if t’s partly because he’s trying to keep up with his sister. Either way though he definitely requires a close eye. Hope you all are well, we miss all our TX friends so much!
Nice pics!!!
The pictures are all so wonderful!! All of the babies are going to be so big by the time we get back (including Max). We are planning on being back for Max’s birthday, since Brian is hoping to be home on leave for that. Miss you guys!!
I’m sorry to hear that he had croup again, yuck!! Good luck with the crawling that sounds like a lot of fun!! All the pictures are so great of Abriella, how will you ever pick?
