Dirty Business!

(Don’t miss the post below…another 2 posts day!)

Colby is a messy eater! I know, I know, aren’t they all at this age? Well, he seems especially messy because he sucks his thumb between every bite! I guess he uses that to help him swallow or something. Or, more likely, he just loves his thumb! He also grabs the spoon and when he’s done with it, likes to toss it…into the floor! I’ve decided that bibs don’t cut it, so he eats once a day right now, at dinner, and I strip him down before eating…then, straight to his bath! He is doing good with eating though. He’s definitely more into it than his sister ever was. He definitely has his opinions though. We know that he likes apples, peaches, and carrots. No-go on the sweet peas for sure. And, he didn’t seem too keen on bananas. Pretty sure he likes sweet potatoes, but we’ll have to revisit that one. Yes, I know, it takes them like 40 thousand tries (slight exaggeration…yes) before you can determine whether they do or don’t like a food, but his first opinion was a resounding NO! We’ll try again, don’t worry. The one that he has seemed the most excited about was definitely the carrots. (Yuck, if you ask me!) He doesn’t eat much yet, but he lets you know when he’s done.  Here are a few pictures of his eating fun!

He and Maddy seem to have the same taste in food. She loves carrots too. She gagged a couple of days ago on sweet peas so we may hold off on that one for awhile again. Love those big blue eyes!

Are you sure he actually got some carrots in his tummy?? 🙂 Love the sweet baby rolls! Max loves sitting in his booster seat like that, except it no longer has the white thing on the tray because he took it off months ago. Boys!!

Miss you guys! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Make sure you get all the food out of those rolls! Glad he is enjoying this new experience.

LOL! It looks like he sure does enjoy his food. Kylee liked carrots too and I thought they smelled gross. Maybe he will be the vegetable eater of the family?
