I’m Back

A lot has happened since my last post. We are living in the rent house now, and have been since Saturday night. We got all our beds moved and enough stuff to stay here that night. We have continued to make trips to get the rest of our stuff (aka junk!). We were without internet over here (rent house) until tonight. The kids are adjusting pretty well. Abriella has had some potty accidents that we are fairly certain are due to the changes. The first night here she cried as soon as we closed her door for the night saying she didn’t like her room. She and I had a pep talk (involving Veggie Tales) and then she did fine and has done fine sleeping overall. Colby took longer to adjust to the sleeping, but that could’ve been due to the fact that we moved him to a new room, lowered his mattress, and took his bumper pad all at the same time! We had put a breathable bumper pad in, but after a few days, I gave in and put his old bumper pad back in. He kept bonking his head with the breathable one (they aren’t very padded) and he has always liked to get right up next to his bumper. So, now that his mattress is lower, the old bumper pad actually fits better and isn’t the problem that it was before, so it all worked out. He has slept much better since! haha!

Abriella started back to preschool today. She was so excited. She said she was ready to go around 8 this morning…school doesn’t start until 9! She had a great day at school according to her teacher and her own report, so I’m thankful for that.

Colby turned 8 months old yesterday! I will do my 8 month post soon, but our camera is acting up for some reason, so all my pictures are blurry. I think some setting with the shutter speed is messed up for some reason. I can’t figure it out though. But, a little bit of info is that Colby is crawling everywhere (hands and knees) and pulling up on everything, too. This has caused lots of “fun” with moving! We had to put him in the pack-n-play a few times just to keep him out of trouble while we were moving things.

When we move in April, we are going to have to have some family, friends, or someone help watch these kids. It has not been fun moving with them in our hair all the time. Stephen and I have done all the moving ourselves, outside of some help to move the washer and dryer. Since we did most of our “big stuff” moving over the holiday weekend, we just didn’t want to bother anyone.  So, we are both sore and tired.

We got our new fridge on Monday and we love it! That and having our washer and dryer here really helped us feel a little more settled, although we are still FAR from settled! haha!

We are supposed to close on our house next Friday, the 15th. Stephen and I both have this fear that these people are going to back out at the last minute. These buyers are just interesting. That’s all I’ll say. Anyway, please pray for all to go through without a hitch.

The foundation was poured on our new house this week. The lumber is supposed to get there on Monday. We’ll really start to see a house coming up soon! It’s exciting to watch everything from the beginning!

Well, I think I’ll stop for now. I’ll get some pictures up soon. I will go back and do a Christmas post and get those pics up soon. Just wanted to give an update on us. Gotta go do something productive now.
