I haven’t updated on the latest house happenings. Last week, they painted the inside and the doors and closets. The heat pump is also now there, inside and out! I took pictures, but I don’t know that they will be true to color, so I probably won’t post those. This week, they have put countertops in and they are starting the hard floors (tile and laminate). They are also going to be doing the mechanical trim out which is commodes, sinks, light fixtures, outlets, etc. YAY! Can’t wait to see all of this new stuff!!

We are supposed to be closing on April 9th at 9am. Yep, they’ve gone so far as to give us a time now! So, that’s exciting! Of course, things can always change, but hopefully not too much. We are so ready to be out of this house! Better than an apartment, yes, but we are just so unorganized and have boxes everywhere. And, we are not child-proofed well here. And, it’s hard to get upset with the kids when they tear something important up or whatever when it’s in their reach. Still frustrating. But, not too much longer!!

I’m super excited about going to a church ladies retreat this weekend. I’m leaving Friday afternoon and will be back on Sunday evening. It’s going to be held at an Inn that has a spa, a heat salt-water pool, and other fun amenities! Of course, it surely will be an uplifting time with Godly women! And, I so need that! I also need time away from my beautiful children. I have never been away from either one of them overnight, so although I’m sure I’ll miss them, I also think I will completely benefit from a little break from them. Pray for Stephen! HA! But, I don’t want any of you to feel sorry for him! He gets a couple of days with them by himself…boohoo! I had much longer with both of them by myself, plus every single day while he’s at work!! He’ll be fine! Abriella will love the time with him. Colby will likely miss Mommy quite a bit!

The following is one reason I’ll be glad to get out of this house. The blinds on this door–Colby can’t stay away from them!! And, they are attached at the bottom of the door so we can’t raise them! Uggh!
