Happy Mother’s Day!

So thankful for my Mom, who had one of the hardest jobs in the world of being a mom, and she did it without a spouse to help her. Many people would just give up if they were robbed of their spouse at such a young age. My mom became a widow at 27 year of age! Can you imagine? I was 2 yrs old and my brother was 5 yrs old. I know she missed my daddy dearly! She did not give up though. She not only was the best mom a kid could ask for, but she was basically our daddy, too. That may sound weird, but she had to do the job of two parents. She has endured so many other hard things in her life. Yet, she continues to smile and trust in our Father. My mom has always been my hero! Thank you, Mom! I love you!

I’m so excited for her as she begins a new journey in life. God has blessed her with someone to spend the rest of her life with. Ironically, I knew this man before my mom did. He attends the church where Stephen and I did in Houston. I knew of him and his family more that I knew him personally. I pray for her and Rickey as they get married at the end of July. I’m also super excited as this union will bring my mom closer to us physically…she’ll be moving to Texas!

Love you so much, mom!!
