HeartQuest

So, a few have asked about my time at HeartQuest. In a nutshell, it was one of the best things I have ever done in my life! It’s really hard to explain in words exactly what one experiences at HQ. It is time away from all distractions as you can’t take a computer, you have to turn off your cell phone, and you can’t take music with you (i.e. ipods or the like).  You don’t communicate with your family or friends, which I thought would be really hard, but Father allowed that ache to see and talk with my family to be put out of my mind, as He knew I needed this time with Him alone. You go to a ranch that is on 600 acres down in Hunt, TX and stay there for 5 1/2 days. It is time spent in the Word, in prayer, in silence, and fasting. It’s time allowing Father to reveal things to you. It’s time spent healing, growing, allowing Holy Spirit to speak to you, work in you, and through you. It’s allowing Father to remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. It’s focusing on building a loving relationship with Father, Him being the first one you go to for everything. It’s learning what it means to be a daughter of The Most High King. It’s about restoring freedom and living in that freedom! It is the most Biblical thing I have done in my life! I am still processing everything and am still doing my 30 days of follow-up (it’s 30 days of prep, the 6 day event, and then 30 days of follow-up). Father is still (and forever will be) working on me.  I am loving the new things that I learned and experienced. It has been awesome for Stephen and I as well. Stephen is anxious to go on Quest, which is for the men. Our marriage relationship, our spiritual relationship, our depth of intimacy, and our journey together is being transformed. It is awesome!! I love talking to Father everyday and just sitting in silence in our closet in the mornings, hearing what Holy Spirit whispers to me, and where He leads me in His Word. It is nothing I have ever experienced before, and it is amazing! Holy Spirit is alive and very active today!! I love reading His Word and how He speaks to me and how the words I read have truly become alive to me.  It really was one of the best/hardest experiences in my life! I thank those that have been praying for me during this time. Those that wrote letters to me…THANK YOU! Those meant so much to me! I am so thankful to have such an awesome husband that supported me when I told him I felt called to go on HeartQuest several months ago. He didn’t hesitate at all, and he made the sacrifice to use up several vacation days to take care of our kids. I’m thankful that my mom came to help Stephen out for several days as well. It was great to have her come to take care of the kids while Stephen took me up to Ft Worth to drop me off. That was such a blessing! I pray for each of you as you journey in your relationship with Father. I pray you feel His presence in your life.  I’d be happy and blessed to share with any of you that want more information. This whole event was truly about Father. He is good!
