3rd Birthday

Colby turned the big 0-3 this year!  🙂  May 6th was on a Sunday this year. We started celebrating earlier in the week on Thursday, by taking cupcakes to his preschool class. Here he is while his friends were singing to him.

Here he is, blowing out his candles

and, success (see the smoke!)

His cupcakes were from Wally World, my new favorite place to get cakes and cupcakes! They did a great job and they had Cars rings on them, half with Lightning McQueen and half with Mater (see below for 2 of Colby’s favorite characters!).

Then, we had a party for him with our little family on Saturday. He ran a fever on Friday and part of Saturday, so it was a good thing we had not planned a party with his friends…it would’ve been cancelled! But, we were able to carry on, as he was fine if he had Tylenol. 🙂 Once again, we stuck with the Cars theme, per Colby’s request. I had a cake made at Wal-mart for the occasion. It was great! Colby loved it! It was chocolate on the inside and was the perfect size for our family. And, it only cost $9 for this whole thing, decorated and all! And, the cars on top are toys with working wheels to boot! Score!

Here we are singing to him. I love his expression.

Blowing out candles and subsequent success (see how his sister is so excited for him!)

He got plenty of presents from us! Stephen hit the jackpot at several places with clearance items. And, then, I accidentally wrapped some gifts that were not for his birthday. They were in our closet, but they had been for Christmas gifts one year, but we decided not to give them at that point. They were beside the birthday gifts, so I wrapped them. Stephen was shocked to see those gifts as they were unwrapped. hehe. Ooops. The biggest gift was a Daddy-made sandbox. This has since been improved even greater, but this was the initial stages, which worked just fine for them!

Happy Birthday, big guy!! Can’t believe we have already been blessed with 3 years with you!
