Our Crazy Baby!

So, after a long time of trying (and not succeeding), Abriella FINALLY likes her swing AND a pacifier! HAHA! Unfortunately, this is too little, too late! But, it’s pretty funny nonetheless. She likes to get in her swing after her naps now, and she thinks it’s so much fun. Sadly, she must be near or exceeding the weight limit for that baby as it has a hard time swinging her, so I have to give it a push every now and then. She doesn’t mind! In some of the pictures, she looks like she’s on a roller coaster or something! haha! The pacifier—well, I have to say she just doesn’t look right with it in her mouth, but if she has fun playing with it (which is all she does), then so be it.

Pacifier!? Fun in her swing at 11 months!

OOOOOOO, SO Much Fun!WWHHHEEEEEEEE!!!

Then, we have a climbing girl. She loves to get up onto or into whatever she can. Unfortunately, this has led to a few bruises for the girl, as Mama can’t catch her everytime! She now gets INTO her toy box when she’s playing. This happens to lead to a little “annoying” game for whoever is playing with her though. She points at things outside her toybox and says, “dat” and gets irritated if you don’t get “dat” for her! It is funny when you don’t get it immediately, though, because then she points AT you and then at the toy again, as if to say, “YOU, get that toy for me!”

Then, the end table is always a favorite!

Aside from the climbing, she’s standing extremely well nowadays. Last Saturday, she even displayed her ability to get to standing in the middle of a room. She has continued to do that throughout the week. As far as steps, still nothing more than 3 in a row. Don’t know when the real walking will occur yet!

So, I’ve borrowed my friend Amanda’s video monitor for a couple of weeks to see what Abriella does during the naps where she doesn’t sleep so well. She’s well, hmm, very active in there! She stands on her head, hangs her legs through the crib rails, points at things, sits and claps (for herself, I assume!), walks around the crib, rolls around, etc. It’s pretty entertaining to say the least. Crazy girl! Too much energy!

So, this coming week, we’ll be headed to Colorado for the annual family reunion. It’s going to be difficult to get all of our needed items on the plane! It would be better to drive to take all the things we want to, but it’s just too long of a drive to do that. We’ll make it though.

Ok, some final pictures to leave you with.

  1. The photos are too cute…especially her facial expressions in the swing. What a hoot! We’re right there with you on climbing and pointing for things, although Jonathan’s word is “dis” instead of Abriella’s “dat.” Hope you guys have a safe trip!
