New Furniture and Other Points of Interest

Howdy,

Well, the last couple of days have been better as far as the puking goes. I thought I was "rounding the corner" a few weeks ago when we went to Montana. However, I think I had a case of "Altitude Wellness" as opposed to altitude sickness. I felt better there than I do here. I told Stephen that maybe we should move to Montana for the remainder of the pregnancy! haha! Anyway, I’m 14 1/2 wks now, and I’m hopefully really rounding the corner on this sickness stuff now. I’m just one of those blessed ones that is blessed with this for a while. It’s been almost 9 wks of this stuff now. Anyway, I’m often reminded by colleagues and so forth that "it’s a sign of a healthy pregnancy." BLAH!  Don’t get me wrong. I definitely want a healthy pregnancy, but I know of many that have those without the puking. Anyway, enough about that.

We found out today that one of the local baby stores is closing shop at the end of this month, so everything is on sale. So, we decided to go check it out to see if we could get anything now. Of course, we have no idea what we need or what is best, etc. We did, however, make a purchase. All of their baby furniture floor displays were 40% off. Of course, most of them were already spoken for. We made a round about the store, and didn’t see anything in that category except a couple ugly ones that nobody wants. We were about to leave when I made one more round, and happened to notice one that we had both missed the first go round. It’s this beautiful crib that converts to a toddler bed and then to a full bed.  It’s a pretty brown color. It’s made of solid wood. Anyway, it was still available. I can’t remember if it’s honey pine or chestnut pine color. Anyway, it’s pretty. So, we purchased that. We’ll probably get it this weekend. It was raining today, so not a good day to load and unload furniture. We were excited about that though. I’m probably gonna go again with one of my girlfriends that has a 15 month old on Saturday so she can tell me things that I need and see if there are any good deals.

I’m going to a consignment sale in April as well. It’s in Waco. It’s apparently a really good event that is done a few times a year in Waco, but also all across the country. You can go to JBF  to find out more information about it. It’s this organization called Just Between Friends. Anyway, I’m going to the "First Time Moms" presale on April 12th. Exciting!

Finally, we have our big ultrasound scheduled for March 5th. I’ll be 19 wks on that day. We’re looking forward to that. Anybody have any bets as to if it’s a boy or a girl?? Stephen placed his bet long ago, so we’ll see if he’s right.

Well, everyone take care.
