An Ugly Death

I haven’t been trying to neglect blogging, but it’s been unavoidable lately. My computer (which Stephen was already planning on changing, but was “waiting on something”) decided to take matters into its own hands. It decided to die an ugly death! Stephen has been working hard on getting me set up with Linux and recovering data from my old computer, i.e. pictures.  So, I haven’t been able to do anything lately. I am actually typing this from Stephen’s laptop.  So, hang in there with me while the remodeling occurs!

I’ll brief you on the goings on here. Monday, we went to the Waco Children’s Museum with playgroup, and Abriella LOVED it! I definitely want to go back and see more and even take Stephen with us. Great place!

On Thursday, I went to a consignment sale to shop and found some great deals! I got a great double stroller and another pack-n-play and some clothes for Abriella and Colby. I’ve realized I truly have no idea how to shop for a boy. I can’t say I’m great at shopping for a girl, but at least I’m accustomed to that more! I am probably going to shop at another consignment sale in Ft Worth next week and then I’m actually consigning in one myself the next week and then another the first weekend in April. WHEW! Busy times! I love these though!!

We are going to try to get Abriella’s new room more in order this weekend and hopefully try to get her transitioning into a toddler bed in the next week or so.  Scary! But, it needs to be done. I’m 28 1/2 wks now, so the time is ticking to get some things done!!

Abriella is doing good. She’s talking up a storm, and adding new phrases, sentences, and words at an astounding rate. She is such a smart girl, but I’m sure every mother thinks that about her child! All 4 of her eye teeth have at least initially cut through. The top 2 are behind the bottom 2, but they are all working their way through.  It’s sad when the child asks for Motrin or Tylenol by name!

Couple of cute stories from the child. One day last week, Abriella was on one of her phones. We asked her who she was calling (the answer is almost always Ga-Ga or Papaw), and this time it was Papaw. We asked her what she was telling him. She looked straight at us and said, “Come.” Sweet! She wanted her Papaw to come! Then, another day, she was on the phone again, and I asked her who she was talking to, and she said Ga-Ga this time. I again asked what she was telling her, and she quickly responded, “Luh Lu,” so Ga-Ga, she sends her love to you!! Sweet girl!!

Well, since I don’t have access to pictures yet, I’ll keep this post shorter than it could be. Don’t want to bore anyone that looks for the pictures! Just wanted everyone to know we’re still alive here!

Awww….I hate it when computers die. That’s the worst, especially when things have to be “retrieved”. Never fun. Hope you’re up & running with that soon. Oh, and boy shopping– EASY! It’s just keeping them clean once they are mobile that’s the hard part! : )
