Busy, Busy!

Sorry for the lapse in blogging. It’s been busy lately, as always! Big news, if you haven’t heard, is that we have a contract on our house, as of last week. So, provided everything goes smoothly, we will be closing on this house on January 20th.  I guess people really do buy houses in the winter! We even had 4 showings on our house while we were in Arkansas over Thanksgiving. Whew, glad we weren’t here since 3 of those were in one day! So, if you are so inclined, please pray that all goes smoothly, and we sell this house without delay in January.

So, that has led us to have to start searching for alternative housing, since, as you may recall, our new house will not be ready until April at the earliest. So, just a little bit of time between houses there! We have found a  house that is rented out in a nice gated neighborhood not far from us (actually would be really convenient as it’s about halfway between this house and our new house). I’ve been emailing the property manager to see if the owner would do a shorter lease as she usually does 12 month leases. The owner has offered a great lease situation for us, so we are going to go look at the house this week, hopefully. I’m sure the house will be fine. The pictures online looked great. It’ll only be for 3 or 4 months, so it certainly doesn’t have to be perfect. A house would definitely be better than an apartment with 2 little ones.  So, pray for that situation to work out as well, if you would!

Oh, so we went to Arkansas for Thanksgiving to see my family. It was great to spend time with my mom, grandma, and brother! Lots of great food and fellowship!! I gained a little too much weight on that trip! Remind me to never weigh myself after a big holiday! Bad idea! I do have pictures from that, but haven’t gotten past uploading them to the computer. I’ll try to get to them, but it’s a wee bit busy right now!

Also, for you that have been anxiously awaiting to see the rest of our pictures from our photo shoot, you have to wait no longer! Go to Melissa Trcka Photography and click on the picture of our child on the left. Then, click on proofing at the top right, and then type in our daughter’s first name in all lowercase for the password. Then, you can view our gallery! You can order pictures right from Melissa. You will be seeing one or more of these pictures in a Christmas card, so act like you’ve never seen them before when you get your card! HAHA! With the way our children acted during that shoot, we were shocked to see so many good pictures! Thanks, Melissa!! You’re awesome!!

Then, this weekend, David and Janet came to baby-sit so Stephen and I could go to a Christmas dinner party on Saturday night. We also went out on Friday night since we had great baby-sitters! We always enjoy their visits. Thanks, Pappa and Gammy!

Colby turned 7 months old on Sunday. I haven’t taken his chair picture yet. I forgot on Sunday and forgot again today, although I thought about it both days (while he was sleeping). Well, he’ll still be 7 months tomorrow! I’ll take them tomorrow!

Ok, that’s the mini update. You’ll get to look at the professional pictures for this blog, so hop on over and check them out! Have a great week!

I am truly glad that you have the contract and a possible good solution to the interim housing situation. The pictures were very good, I thought. BTW, #3 and #34 were my favorites from the 2 yr pics of Abriella, although there were many I liked. I need a pic of Colby, too. I’m glad that David and Janet came to give you a little breather.

Congrats on the contract! I’m sure it is a huge relief to know that it’s sold even though you have a headache to figure out what to do in between places. I fell off the face of the blogging world too. I haven’t been on in so long almost everyone I keep up with had a new blog when I got on today.
